The French-language and Dutch-language Chambers of the Certification Commission of the Ministry for Consumer Protection, Public Health and the Environment are tasked by the latter with oversight of specialist candidates training in Plastic Surgery. They set qualitative and quantitative standards according to legal prescriptions in this matter as defined by the Upper Council. They also certify and check the quality of the training centres in which candidates undergo training.
Commission members are jointly appointed by academics (universities) and professional associations (GBS-VBS and doctor unions).
