The Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum Belgicum (CCP) was established in 1988 under the leadership of Profs. Madeleine Lejour and Guido Matton to provide national level training for all students of Plastic Surgery in Belgium. Prof. Guido Matton is currently the President of the Collegium.
Among other things, the CCP organises:
- Training sessions several times a year on Saturday. Plastic surgery topics are presented by subject matter experts. Candidate attendance is compulsory.
- Annual, national-level, written examinations
- An oral examination at the end of training. After passing this examination students are given the title of “Fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum”. A diploma is awarded at the plenary session of one of the two annual meetings of the Belgian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery.
